Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor dysfunction is a common occurrence, especially in women, and unfortunately is often accepted as a normal part of life – it should not be! Pelvic floor physiotherapy can be beneficial in treating and managing pelvic health conditions including incontinence (bladder and bowel), urinary urgency and frequency, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, vulvodynia, vaginismus, sexual dysfunction, interstitial cystitis, and post-surgical issues.
Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a valuable part of pre and postnatal care. Treatments can include pelvic floor re-education, manual therapy, relaxations & breathing techniques, bladder & bowel retraining, postural advice, exercise therapy, and acupuncture.
